High-pressure hose manufacturing process:

  1. In the mixing mill, the compounded rubber for the high-pressure hose is prepared according to the formulation, yielding the inner layer rubber, the intermediate layer rubber, and the outer layer rubber. The inner oil‑resistant tube is then extruded and applied over a soft or rigid mandrel coated with a release agent (the liquid nitrogen freezing method may also be used without a mandrel).

  2. The high-pressure hose is calendered into a thin intermediate rubber sheet, coated with a release agent, wound into a roll, and then slit to the specified width according to process requirements.

  3. On a winding or braiding machine, the inner oil‑filled tubing is wound or braided with copper‑plated steel wire or copper‑plated steel strand. Simultaneously, on the same machine, thin intermediate rubber sheets are wound between each pair of layers of copper‑plated wire or strand. The ends of the wound wire are secured with ties (in some earlier models, the copper‑plated wire must first undergo pre‑stress shaping).

  4. Once again, apply an outer rubber coating on the extruder, followed by wrapping a lead or fabric vulcanized protective layer. High-pressure hose.

  5. Vulcanization is carried out using a vulcanizing tank or a salt bath.

  6. Finally, remove the vulcanization protective layer, extract the tube core, crimp the upper coupling, and perform a sampling pressure test. High-pressure hose.

In summary, the production of high-pressure hoses involves a wide range of equipment and raw materials, and its manufacturing process is quite complex. However, in recent years, the production processes for high-pressure hoses that use plastics or thermoplastic elastomers as primary materials have been somewhat simplified; despite the higher cost of these alternatives, rubber-based materials remain the dominant choice.
