Applications of high-pressure hoses in automobiles:
Hoses are primarily used to connect the engine to the air filter, the engine to the radiator system, and the automotive air-conditioning system, among others. As part of the intake system, they are located close to the engine, requiring properties such as high-temperature resistance, oil resistance, corrosion resistance, aging resistance, and low-temperature performance. Depending on the manufacturing process, there are many types of materials used for high-pressure hoses. Since each type of rubber has its own unique characteristics, selecting the appropriate material for rubber hoses is especially critical.
Maintenance and Use of High-Pressure Hydraulic Hoses:
1. Maintenance after installation of high-pressure hoses. Proper use of rubber hoses is critical for determining the required hose length. In addition, ensure that the operating conditions of the hose meet the specifications of the selected hose. Verify that the hose to be used is appropriate, and carefully select the working pressure and suction values. In particular, sudden pressure fluctuations or exceeding the maximum allowable pressure peak can significantly reduce the service life of high-pressure hoses. Neither end of the high-pressure hose should remain continuously immersed in the conveyed fluid.
2. Installation and use of high-pressure hoses: If a high-pressure hose is installed with a bending radius smaller than the specified minimum, its service life will be significantly reduced. Therefore, it is recommended to consult the product data sheet before installation, paying particular attention to the hose’s minimum bending radius.
3. Maintenance of high-pressure hoses. After use, the hose must be inspected to ensure there is no structural damage. High-pressure hoses operate under high pressure during use.
Alternatively, when the outer layer of a high-pressure hose is in prolonged contact with the conveyed fluid, a hydrostatic pressure test is recommended.
